Ruth Araujo, Diseñadora de Vestuario ( ella/ella)  

Originally from Mexicali, Mexico, he holds a bachelor's degree in music with a specialization in voice from the Faculty of Arts at UABC, where he studied under Mtra. Esther Lozano. His teachers have included Fernando Núñez and Ignacio Clapés, among others. He has also participated in masterclasses and vocal coaching with several international artists, such as tenor José Medina, Teresa Rodriguez, vocal coach Joan Dornemann, sopranos Paola Antonucci, Maureen O’Flynn, and Elizabeth McDonald, as well as in Italy with conductor Alfredo Sorichetti and baritone Genaro Sulvaran.

 

He has performed as a soloist in various projects throughout the state, including the Zarzuela Luisa Fernanda by Moreno Torroba, the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell, and with the Pro Música Ensenada Choir, making his solo debut in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. He has also appeared in several productions with Ópera de Tijuana, such as L’Occasione fa il ladro by Gioacchino Rossini and L’heure espagnole by Maurice Ravel, under the direction of Iván Mares and Armando Pesqueira.

 

In 2023, he participated in the renowned Alfonso Ortiz Tirado Festival in Álamos, Sonora. He is a permanent guest artist with Ópera de Tijuana, with whom he has performed in multiple productions and in numerous editions of the Festival Ópera en la Calle.
